MOLIY & Silent Addy’s Shake It To The Max (FLY) is an incredibly organic cultural phenomenon, shaping up as one of the songs of the summer globally.
Ghanaian-American MOLIY previously co-wrote and sang alongside Amaarae and Kali Uchis on the smash Sad Girlz Luv Money. She wrote Shake It To The Max (FLY) with Miami-based Jamaican-American Silent Addy and Disco Neil, creating a unique global sound pulling from Afrobeats, Dancehall and Reggaeton alongside a host of contagious lyrical moments.
The song originally broke in Africa on short-form video platforms in November last year garnering hundreds of thousands of UGC videos, following MOLIY’s choreographed dance to the song. Firstly in MOLIY’s own Ghana, and then moving to Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya and the entire continent. The record hit in time for New Year, becoming such an essential record.
The track’s global momentum continues to surge, now charting in 32 countries with #1 positions in the UK, Australia, Norway, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Denmark, and holding strong at #8 on the Spotify Viral Global chart.
The track was also recently added to the influential Party Hits playlist . The song is seeing strong support, landing A-List placements at radio stations in the UK, while breaking into both mix shows and key daytime rotations.
Performances were pulled together for the remix, which was released Feb 21. The Remix quickly took the entire Caribbean by storm and started to light the fire in the UK and US.
MOLIY also went to the UK for Red Bull Culture Clash appearing with the Native soundsystem.
