DEAF HAVANA TORNANO CON IL NUOVO SINGOLO "CAROUSEL" IN ATTESA DEL SETTIMO ALBUM

DEAF HAVANA release new single, ‘Carousel’ ahead of their seventh album We’re Never Getting Out. The record finds frontman James Veck-Gilodi confronting cycles of self-doubt, acceptance, and change after years of extremes.

On ‘Carousel,’ James reflects: “Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity. That’s exactly how I’ve felt for the last ten years—out of control, spinning in the same loop, making the same mistakes. It’s about feeling hopeless and stuck on a downward spiral, all packaged in a banger of a rock song.”

The turning point came in 2023–24, when James scrapped an uninspired project, ended a failing marriage, and embraced change. “Facing these things made me realise I could do things that will benefit me in the long run rather than going in the same loop as I always have,” he explains.

Produced with George Glew, the album blends Deaf Havana’s raw British rock foundations with modern pop sensibility and daring structures. Contributions from Ross MacDonald (The 1975) on bass and Freddie Sheed (Lewis Capaldi, Take That) on drums add depth, while James pushes toward a sound he’s been chasing for over a decade.

The result is their boldest and most honest work yet. Heavy, heart-breaking, and spine-tinglingly direct, but also vibrant, textured, and fiercely catchy. “I’ve never been clearer about what this all is,” James says. “This is the best Deaf Havana album and the best thing I’ve ever been a part of. I feel like this is a true fresh start.”
