annunciano il signing con [PIAS] Électronique
Eli & Fur sign to [PIAS] Électronique with new single ‘Insomnia’, out April 5th. The UK born, LA based duo have just celebrated 10 years of success; following a number 1 Electronic Album and a fresh ‘10 Years On’ rework of their pivotal single ‘You’re So High’ (already at 150+M streams and counting) they now join the likes of Tinlicker, Innellea, Natascha Polké…, on the roster of both major and emerging artists already signed to the new electronic arm of independent music giants [PIAS].
‘Insomnia’: A compelling club-ready song with one sweetly resonant, high breathy vocal, and a more urgent, darker, less lyrical voice. Sometimes a duet, sometimes a duel, the vocals provide much of the melody over a subtly bounding house beat, hissy hi-hats, and showers of melodic synth.
‘The first release of our new journey, a body of work we’ve been creating for two years, ‘Insomnia’ is getting lost between dusk and dawn, inspired by dance floors and the moments of introspective solitude in between’ Eli and Fur say. ‘You are awake, searching for a place to exist, lost in your mind or in a dimly lit room. This song is about escape and the secrets that keep you up at night.’
The songwriter/singer/producer/DJ pair have released on Anjunadeep, Crosstown Rebels, Positiva, Sony RCA, Cercle, Major Recordings (Warner) and their own NYX Music; their darkly emotive dance anthems and powerful performing gestalt have won hearts and minds at Coachella, EDC, Glasto, Tomorrowland, Creamfields… as well as Boiler Room and BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix. A multi-faceted pair, they’ve also collaborated with Stella McCartney, The Kooples, and YSL, along with performing at Christian Dior shows and featuring in Vogue.
With the support of [PIAS] Électronique, Eli & Fur have a big year ahead of them, so watch this space. Catch them around the world at Ultra, Coachella, Cercle Fest (FR), Anjunadeep Open Air London and ANTS Ibiza.
