An ode to the rush of profound connection, ‘Divine Feelings’ was inspired by a life-changing moment in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, where Joy first crossed paths with the woman who became his wife. Written with longtime collaborator Dave Bassett in the hills of Barcelona, the track captures the joy of that unforgettable encounter.
The single arrives with a cinematic video directed by W.A.M. Bleakley. Starring Erana James and Tom Wilson, the modern-day Bonnie and Clyde story follows two lovers as they race across the Australian outback, their undeniable chemistry set to Joy’s soaring melody.
Currently on a North American headline tour, Vance Joy is performing ‘Divine Feelings’ live through late September. Highlights include a one-night-only show with The Lumineers at Washington, DC’s Nationals Park and top-billed festival appearances at Bourbon & Beyond, Sing Out Loud Festival, and Oceans Calling.
