After releasing their fantastically unhinged and lauded debut album WOOF. in September, Fat Dog are now back with a brand-new track, “Peace Song”, complete with the mandatory kids’ choir and naturally, it’s come just in time for Christmas.
First debuted at Fat Dog’s live shows earlier this year, the arrival of “Peace Song” in the set signals a moment to have a tender breather, the frenetic mosh temporarily swapped for synchronised swaying arms and lighters in the air.
Directed by James Ogram, the video delivers on the emotion of Joe Love’s refrain “And I'm in love with the world” before turning into a (very) DIY kaiju film. Have the band finally torn free from the big dog in the sky? Fat Dog Pilsners all round if so!
With their current sold-out UK tour culminating at London’s Kentish Town Forum this weekend, Fat Dog are already filling up their 2025, that run will include a headline show at London’s Troxy in April.
Additionally, Fat Dog – The Game is now available to buy. Originally created for the music video for “Wither”, the 90s Playstation style game has been developed into a mostly, fully functioning game that is a lot of fun.
The band were also recently nominated for The Breakthrough Award in Rolling Stone UK’s forthcoming 2024 Awards.
