EVIDENCE TORNA CON IL NUOVO SINGOLO ‘OUTTA BOUNDS’, ANTICIPA L’EP ‘UNLEARNING’ E ARRIVA IN TOUR IN EUROPA

Grammy-winning MC and producer Evidence returns with “Outta Bounds”—the bold, beat-heavy new single from his forthcoming fifth solo album, Unlearning Vol. 2, due August 15 on Rhymesayers Entertainment.

A haunting blend of precise rhymes and moody boom bap, “Outta Bounds” finds Evidence reconnecting with longtime Dilated Peoples collaborator DJ Babu, who contributes signature razor-sharp cuts to the track. It’s a rugged, tightly-coiled reminder that even after decades in the game, Evidence remains one of hip-hop’s most focused voices—dialled in, dialled back, and deadly effective.

From the moment he emerged as one-third of Dilated Peoples, Evidence has consistently redefined what it means to be an underground heavyweight. Whether behind the mic or the boards, his fingerprints are all over hip-hop’s last two decades—crafting classics with The Alchemist, Beastie Boys, DJ Premier, Westside Gunn, Linkin Park, Aloe Blacc, Slug, Action Bronson, Rapsody, and Sa-Roc, to name a few.

On “Outta Bounds”, he isn’t simply riding his legacy—he’s reworking it. The song acts as a mission statement for Unlearning Vol. 2, an album steeped in introspection, evolution, and creative freedom. “Set the autopilot, cruising speed,” he raps—only to immediately flip the sentiment and remind us that comfort is the enemy of growth.

Produced by a stellar roster including The Alchemist, Conductor Williams, Sebb Bash, Beat Butcha, Coop The Truth, and Evidence himself, Unlearning Vol. 2 is the long-awaited sequel to his acclaimed 2021 album. Like its predecessor, the new LP refuses to coast on reputation, instead diving deep into the discomfort of change—personal, professional, and creative.

Evidence explains: “This is my first Vol.2 project I've made. I’ve had a like-minded thread with the ‘Weather’ series, but this is an actual part 2. I wanted this album to feel aligned with Unlearning Vol. 1—open-ended, unfinished. Leaving room for a Vol.3 in the future.”

The album also features previously released singles “Nothing To See Here” and “Different Phases” (produced by Beat Butcha & Coop The Truth, with a visual directed by SHEESH), and collaborations with Blu, Larry June, Domo Genesis, and more.

Through it all, Evidence remains grounded in hip-hop’s core tenets—reinvention, recontextualization, and the alchemy of turning pain into poetry.
