PJ Harvey ha pubblicato una seconda canzone, "I Inside the Old I Dying", tratta dal suo album di prossima uscita I Inside the Old Year Dying. La pubblicazione del brano è accompagnata da un video musicale animato, diretto da Cristóbal León e Joaquín Cociña.
I registi Cristóbal León e Joaquín Cociña affermano: "We envisioned the video as a short story about love, death, and resurrection. We imagined that the video can be seen as a little fairy tale and also as an intimate ritual. We wanted to keep the animation in a state of scenic and material rawness, as if the elements we see are not characters or props, but artifacts and talismans that are part of a ceremony."
Del nuovo singolo "I Inside the Old I Dying", PJ Harvey dice: "This delicate and beautiful song eluded us until the very last day in the studio. Over the previous five weeks we had tried so many times to capture it and failed, and/but then John reinvented the feel of the guitar pattern. As he was demonstrating it in the control room, Flood handed me a microphone and pressed record whilst I sat next to John trying to work out how to sing to it. The result somehow captures the ethereal and melancholic longing I was looking for.
In the lyric everyone is waiting for the savior to reappear – everyone and everything anticipates the arrival of this figure of love and transformation.
There is a sense of sexual longing and awakening and of moving from one realm into another – from child to adult, from life to death and the eternal.”
In concomitanza con l'uscita di questo secondo brano, Harvey ha annunciato anche una serie di date del tour nel Regno Unito e in Europa, che inizierà a fine settembre.

PJ Harvey ha suscitato molto interesse sin dall'inizio della sua carriera ed è l'unica musicista ad aver ricevuto più volte il Mercury Music Prize del Regno Unito, vincendo prima nel 2001 per Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea e di nuovo nel 2011 per Let England Shake. Poetessa e visual artist affermata, oltre che musicista e songwriter, il suo lavoro colpisce per la sua originalità: vivido, coinvolgente e distinto.

La storia del disco risale a sei anni fa, alla fine del tour del suo ultimo album del 2017 e a come Harvey si è sentita subito dopo.
"Lo studio è stato allestito per suonare dal vivo e questo è tutto ciò che abbiamo fatto", dice.
C'è qualcosa di profondamente edificante e redentivo in questo album. "Penso che l'album parli di ricerca, di esplorazione, l'intensità del primo amore e la ricerca di un significato", dice Harvey. "Non che ci debba essere per forza un messaggio, ma la sensazione che ricevo dal disco è quella dell'amore, si tinge di tristezza e perdita, ma è amorevole. Credo sia questo che lo fa sentire così accogliente, così aperto".
