After recently returning to deliver their anthemic new EP ‘Maze’ earlier this year, a release that has seen their total overall streams tip the scale at 115M, euphoric electronic duo Punctual have now teamed up with the emerging alt-pop-rock juggernauts World’s First Cinema to the deliver their latest anthem ‘Castles’, through B-Unique Records.

Featuring a sample from Dream Academy’s track ‘Life In A Northern Town’, made famous through it’s usage in Dario G’s classic hit single ‘Sunchyme’ which recently found a resurgence thanks to its use in the TV series Derry Girls, ‘Castles’ looks to harness the bright and soaring energy both acts have built a reputation for over the years. Filled with fresh and pulsing textures that reinvent its familiar hook, this new version feels like the perfect addition to this summer’s festival season.
Speaking about the collaboration, Punctual explains, “We had wanted to sample Dream Academy for years, so when we realised how perfectly if fitted around WFC’s vocal we knew it was a winner! Castles has been a real journey for us, as we started working on this track a couple of years ago now. As you can imagine we are super happy to finally have it out to the world!”
World’s First Cinema adds, “Castles is essentially a love letter to life. It’s about wanting to experience everything, even the bad. The whole human experience has to include the negative to give balance to the positive. It’s a hopeful song about the craving for adventure and knowing no matter what you’ll rise above the negative times.”

ABOUT PUNCTUAL
Punctual is Will Lansley and John Morgan, a bubbling electronic music duo with a gift for energetic, party-starting club tracks. Their October 2020 single ‘I Don’t Wanna Know’ broke the top 100 in the UK with over 30 million streams across platforms, one of many vibesy house tunes in their rapidly growing catalogue. As well as massive singles like 2020’s heavy floor filler ‘Imagine’.

Punctual kicked off when their dazzling debut single ‘Eva’ broke through on a wave of specialist support from Zane Lowe and Apple Music’s Beats1, Radio 1’s Party Anthems, and BBC DJs Pete Tong and Phil Taggart. The next five years were rammed full of highlights, such as when British pop maestro Elton John played Punctual’s 2017 heater ‘What I Love’ on his radio show, calling the track “fabulous”.

They’ve released one off singles through Higher Ground, Defected, RCA, Polydor and Monstercat. And signed with B-Unique Music Publishing in 2020, the team behind #1 songwriters Johnny McDaid, Rob Harvey and Corey Sanders.

Outside of Punctual John and Will are prolific collaborators, having produced and written with Raye, Steve Aoki, Nathan Dawe, Jason Derulo, Sleepwalkrs, Rudimental, and Eli Brown. Touring has included Glastonbury, SW4, Tomorrowland, and multiple UK shows including London’s Fabric and UK tours with The Avalanches and Fatboy Slim.

ABOUT WORLD’S FIRST CINEMA
World’s First Cinema’s origins begin back in 2019, when Fil Thorpe, a founding member of Neck Deep, the multi-award winning rock outfit that also cracked the #2 spot on the US album charts, chose to leave his formative outfit in pursuit of a career in production. Having now relocated to Los Angeles he met John Sinclair, alternatively known as Saint Claire, who had previously collaborated with Macklemore on his 2017 single ‘Excavate’. Between them, they have enough knowledge of the commercial music world to fill an Olympic-sized swimming pool, but now they are together, they have their heart set on something far more outlandish.

Their rapturously received debut EP ‘Rituals’ released in early 2021, was followed up by a series of anthemic singles including ‘The Woods’, ‘Make Me A Monster’, ‘Supernatural’ and ‘Perfect Hell’ to name a few. With over 15M cumulative streams, World’s First Cinema have which received airplay on BBC Radio 2 and playlisted on Spotify’s Pop Rock Shot, Futurs Hits, New Noise, Rockin’ Vibes and Rock The World!, as well as Apple Music’s New in Alternative, New in Rock, New Music Daily and New In Pop. Tastemaker support has included The Independent, Wonderland, The Line of Best Fit (Song of the Day), RockSound, Earmilk, Offical Charts, Euphoria, Under The Radar, A&R Worldwide’s Passport Approved and much more.
